An appraisal of the property and a certified survey will tell you the real price of the house you are about to purchase. You have various options in this regard including a very simple survey or one that is more complicated and therefore more costly. Neither this nor the appraisal is required by law but when you are spending money on something that is likely the biggest investment of your lifetime, it is wise to go the extra mile.

Although not obligatory, home owners insurance is highly recommended. Now that you’ve found your dream home, the next step you’ll want to take is finding the right insurance. Insurance can protect you and your loves ones from loss due to natural and anthropocentric disasters. Your mortgage company will discount your loan when you present them with proof of insurance. Other forms of home security may lower your loan rate as well.

Some homeloans companies require their clients to purchase life insurance. The premium for life insurance is based upon age, health and occupational data. It can be a burden to have this extra expense but it is also important to be insured.

Lenders and brokers often charge a nominal amount as the redemption fee from the customers. This fee is just to ensure that the customer sticks to that broker or lender. It is like a security for the broker and they often reduce the interest rate to compensate for it.

Most people recognize that it is necessary to protect against accidents, natural or manmade disasters, unemployment or medical emergencies.  But they often don’t recognize that it is also a good idea to protect yourself with insurance to protect you if there is fraud by brokers or lenders. It is in your best interest to protect yourself, even if your lender tries to convince you the expense is not necessary.
